Easter weekend

Sarah and Jared moved about 4 weeks ago to a beautiful house in a village just outside Huntingdon. So we headed over for the long weekend and had a fantastic time. We got there Friday afternoon and had a pretty late night as Sarah and I went food shopping and didn't get back till about 8.30, got to love those sister chats when there are no kids around. So we didn't eat till gone 9pm. Luckily the kids were to busy play to be worried about that.
Saturday Sarah and I set up an egg hunt for them to do in the garden. In the afternoon we went for a walk to a local reservoir which was huge and had stunning views.
Sunday Sarah was ill so she stayed home and we all walked off to church which is at the end of their road. It's a very big ward in a very tiny chapel, but everyone was very welcoming. All my kids went into their primary lessons and I was really happy that Elijah was happy to go into his class on his own. But I could have burst with pride when his teacher came to find me to tell me what a star he was and she would quite happily have 6 of him.
The kids spent Monday morning playing as spence and I got everything ready to go home. There were lots of tears in the car on the way home. I checked with Sarah when I got home if her kids were ok but as she said "Their Quesne" lol. We popped into Costco for dinner on the way home and it was a lovely end to a really fun and lovely weekend.

  1. Oh you two make me wish I had a sister! That photo is so great of your children together. How wonderful! Without a doubt I'm sure your mum was right there with you. xx
