A lovely find

Last week Elijah was climbing on to my lap while I was on the computer and he managed to knock off the external hard drive and brake it. I was a LITTLE bit panicked to say the least as this had ALL of our photos on it. On further inspection Spence looked at it and assured me that it was just the case and we would be able to get a new one and everything would be fine.

Well today the new case arrived and Spencer being the clever bunny that he is fixed it all very quickly and we looked through to check we hadn't lost anything.

Spence came across a document titled FAITH. I had forgotten all about it but one day when Faith was about 6 weeks old I sat down at the computer and typed her a letter telling her all about her birth.

Faith Lucie

As Spencer read it to me I was thrilled to be reminded of some of the wonderful, and not so wonderful, things that happened at the birth of my first baby. It's amazing how we can forget some of the little but oh so important things that make up the most important events in our lives.

Phoebe Isabella

And so the rest of my Tuesday evening is going to be spent sat at the computer typing letters to Phoebe and Elijah of their births and the wonderful experiences that they were in my life.

We LOVE Minnie

Yesterday we went to Auntie Teresa's shop for Daddy to have a hair cut. Well in a lovely shop a few doors down Mummy spotted a little something that she new Phoebe would LOVE. So we ran down to look in the window and Phoebe stood open mouthed at this amazing site. Anyway we went into see Auntie Tres and the first thing Phoebe said was
"I've just seen Minnie Mouse"

After I had explained to Tres what she was talking about, she grabbed Phoebe and said

"Let's go see"

2 minutes later Tres and a VERY EXCITED Phoebe walked in carrying Minnie.

Mummy and Daddy looked on in a complete panic wondering how on earth are we going to get this home.

THANK YOU AUNTIE TERESA XXXXX

Elijah The Boy Who Will Sleep Anywhere

We have never had much luck when it comes to getting Elijah in a bed time routine and as a result when he falls asleep he can sleep ANYWHERE.

Our Early Family Holiday

As we are unable to go on our normal Piper/Piper/Grice holiday in August this year, I made the suggestion that the Piper/Piper's went a bit earlier. Thanks to the bank holiday and the General Election the girls would only miss 2 days of school. So I thought 'Off we go'.
So at the beginning of May we packed up the car and headed to our holiday home (as the girls lovingly call it) in Fairbourne, Wales. It was a surprise to the kids as we didn't tell them where we were going, but they were thrilled when we were meet by Nanny and Grandad.
We did all our usual activities. Trip to Barmouth, Dolgellau and of course the Ice Cream Factory.
When we went to Blue Lake I was a little concerned about Elijah being free to run as we climbed the mountain, but he wasn't too bad. I always thought Phoebe was independent but she has nothing on Elijah. He walked all the way up and down on his own and would not be carried by anyone. We had a picnic when we got to the top and Grandad even recorded it so that we could show Nanny when we got back to the bungalow.
We had a really lovely week and it was just the break we needed.

Elijah turns 2

He loves Little Einsteins so Mummy made him a Rocket cake

His face when he first saw his cake

Well nearly 2 weeks ago Elijah turned the grand old age of 2. Elijah is a true boy he loves to climb, jump and has tried to fly on several occasions. He can make us smile with any one of his hundred funny faces and can melt us with his smile. He loved the attention that a birthday brings and would quite happily dance whenever anyone phoned to sing him Happy Birthday.
On his birthday we were visited by the whole Piper side of the family and thanks to Auntie Teresa and Auntie Becky's gift my (for once) nice and tidy house was wrecked in less then 30 seconds. But the look on his face was priceless and well worth it.

Lets get started

Well I have been telling myself I would do this for about a year now so it's about time I get started.
I am doing this to keep a journal for our family. To keep a record of day to day events that happen in the Piper household. I hope these memories will make us laugh and cry and remind us how much we love each other.
Welcome to the Playhouse Pipers (so named due to the fact that we watch A LOT of Playhouse Disney) We are Spencer, Susie, Faith, Phoebe and Elijah.
